Frances M. Alba, MD, is an Associate Professor of Urology and Surgery at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She is also a practicing urologist. In 2007, she received her MD with honors from the University Of New Mexico School Of Medicine. Following this, she completed her residency and internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Her hospital affiliations include the New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System-Raymond G. Murphy Medical Center, the University Of New Mexico Hospital, the University Of New Mexico Sandoval Regional Medical Center, and Presbyterian Hospital. She has contributed to several publications, most recently a paper discussing predictors and barriers to faculty scholarly activity in United States urology residency programs, published in January 2020.
